The Meerkat is a small mongoose, they are highly social animals, living in packs. They have a social heirarchy where dominant individuals breed while less dominant individuals provide care for any resultant pups.

Drawn with Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils, the inspiration for this drawing comes from an original photograph taken by the artist in Symbio Wildlife Park, Sydney, Australia.
